Today I want to share with you the sad news that changed my life forever.

Sometimes nothing portends trouble, but overnight the earth can slip out from under your feet and leave you alone with grief that cannot be overcome. It happened on April 19, 2021 – my grandmother Alya had a stroke, fighting with which for almost three weeks, she could not come to her senses and return to our world. On May 8, at the age of 81, the most dear to me person passed away, whose absence will forever leave a void in my heart. I wanted to perpetuate her memory in a song, because this is the last thing I could ever do for her. I didn’t dare to start the work, because I wanted time to pass and the pain of loss to subside. But as soon as I sat down at the keyboard, the music itself began to appear in my head. In one day I wrote a melody and later added touching, very personal lyrics. I consider the creation of this song a real miracle and a gift that was given to me for all my experiences lately.

And so, in less than two weeks, I wrote a new song called “IN MY MEMORY”, which I hasten to share with you. It begins with an instrumental solo, in which the orchestra sets the mood and atmosphere from the very first bar, showing the entire range of experienced emotions. The beginning of the first verse is similar to a parable – a story about an all-consuming fire that destroys everything in its path in the tongues of its flame. It is followed by a development that tells about inner experiences and situation of hopelessness. I decided to add a lyrical instrumental solo in the middle of the song, which leads it to the climax – the third chorus, where I change the last two lines. It is kind of a decision-making and a of peace of mind moment. And yet, the song ends with the lines from the first verse, looping the plot and indicating that this story will never be resolved. The final chord sets a quiet, but inwardly screaming point in the entire story.

I am sure this song will find a response in many hearts, which means that the memory about the person who was the whole world for me will live forever.
